Game Day- Superbowl XLIX

Superbowl Sunday is finally upon us!
Even though most people are losing their shit over their excitement for the game itself-I'm most excited about the commercials and the halftime performance.

Kim K graciously gave us an early preview of her Super bowl commercial --->  #KimsDataStash. As a Kardashian fan I thought it was pretty humorous, but I'm going to need a little more than that to top my favorite recent commercial. I can guarantee if they show a "Game of War" commercial that it will get my vote for the worst commercial. First it ruined Trivia Crack, now it's encroaching on the super bowl. Not cool.

How are we feeling about our musical entertainment, Katy Perry? I'm not the biggest fan - she's neither here nor there for me, but she's clearly universally liked with the almost 14 million followers on Instagram. Whether you're a fan of her or not, you have to admit this Pepsi selection is better than what we were getting a few years back. Janet and her boob really screwed us for a while. Thanks to that stunt we got to see/hear some very uncool performances during the superbowl for a while. If Katy Perry's not quite your flava, Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz will be joining the pop start on stage.
Who could forget this trash bag getup?

As I've mention previously, I love a good bet. LDye and I have bet on the superbowl game every year since we met. I'm going for the Patriots this year. I'm basing this decision on the fact that odds of a team going to the superbowl two years in a row and winning both games is slim. This has been accomplished by only seven teams in the past.

Green Bay Packers (Super Bowls I and II)
Miami Dolphins (Super Bowls VII and VIII)
Pittsburgh Steelers (twice: Super Bowl IX and X, and Super Bowl XIII and XIV)
San Francisco 49ers (Super Bowl XXIII and XXIV)
Dallas Cowboys (Super Bowl XXVII and XXVIII)
Denver Broncos (Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII)
New England Patriots (Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX)

Yes, I did my research because I don't like to lose. If I/the Patriots win, I get rollerblades! [This is real life. I'm 26 years old and I want blades.] After writing the list out, I'm somewhat regretting my decision because that's a lot of teams to win it back to back. If LDye/the Seahawks win, I'll be footing the bill for an upcoming dinner date at Chuy's. Let's do this, Pats. Momma needs a new pair of roller blades.

Can't wait for this to be me

Side note: how do we get the Superbowl to come to KC? Start a petition? Let's get on that.

Time to put on the stretchy pants and eat some food,

I think I played a fun game with myself called "how many times can I say 'super bowl' in this post?"

Feel free to re-read and drink every time you see "super bowl"

#keshandjac to let us know how you're celebrating
